PFSC Town Hall – Saturday August 27th

PFSC is hosting a Town Hall this Saturday, August 27th at 10am, PISC Party Room! Please join us for a meet and greet with PFSC Board members and Committee Chairs. All questions, comments and feedback are welcome!

Standing Together

The first black skater was not admitted to a figure skating club until 1965 when Richard Ewell joined a local Los Angeles based club. The figure skating community is not immune to society’s systemic racism.

Along with United States Figure Skating, our national governing body, the Pasadena Figure Skating Club stands united in support of anti-racism. We are horrified and outraged at the recent displays of police brutality to black men, in particular, and what has been happening continuously to people of color since our country’s founding. The PFSC Board of Directors is looking into what steps it can take to promote changes that are, finally, not empty or temporary but are systematically sustained through thoughtful determined strategies.

We see you and we stand with you. Black Lives Matter.

Next Board Meeting – May 10th

The next meeting of the Board of Directors is on Tuesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m, Shakers, 601 Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena, CA 91030.  Board meetings are regularly held once a month in-person or via telephone conference and are open to all members who wish to attend.
