Congratulations to Elizabeth Hong!
Elizabeth Hong from Pasadena FSC joined the 2022 US Figure Skating Scholastic Honors Team and was recognized at the US Championships in Nashville in Jan. 2022.
Elizabeth attends Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California and is now a senior singles competitor. She won the 2021 Athlete Alumni Ambassador (3A) award from the U.S. Figure Skating Athletes Advisory Committee and was a 2020 Betty Sonnhalter Grant recipient from Southern California Interclub Association.
A member of student council and newspaper staff, Elizabeth founded STAYWell (Student, Athlete, & Youth Wellness) Initiative to address inequality in resources for athletes. She also co-leads another organization that focuses on South Asia’s education gender gap. A PFSC Junior Board officer, Elizabeth volunteers with the Pasadena Chapter of the National Charity League.
She recognizes her first love of the sport from watching the 2009 World Championships at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
