Volunteer Hours Requirement

The Pasadena Figure Skating Club (“PFSC” or “Club”) is a non-profit organization that holds annual events, competitions, testing, board and committee meetings, skating shows, social activities, and awards (“Club Event”) all for the benefit of its members. In order to meet PFSC’s goals of creating a positive environment to promote and develop the sport of figure skating and to continue the success and activities of the Club, all club members are required to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per membership year (July 1 through June 30th) at Club Events. In lieu of volunteering  hours, a club member may choose to make a donation of $50 to PFSC. This requirement applies per single membership or per family membership.

If your membership is a Home Club Family Membership and the skater member is under 18 years old, the parent or guardian shall be responsible for fulfilling the volunteer requirement either by volunteering themselves or supervising the minor skater member when they volunteer for a Club Event.

All volunteer hours should be recorded and approved at the conclusion of the relevant Club Event. A member who does not meet the volunteer hours requirement in a membership year shall be considered a member not in good standing and will not be able to renew their membership until the donation of $50 to PFSC is made instead.
